Things that make you go hmmmmm….

I just got to my hometown of Atlanta yesterday, was riding around and heard this lyric in a Ludacris song that was on the radio.

Why tiptoe through life to arrive safely at death.

I stopped dead in my tracks.

So many of us are doing this. So many of us are making decisions from a place of fear. Fear of failure, fear of looking bad, fear of rejection, fear of starting over etc. We think we are too old for something, too

And then what?

We end up living the same year over again and calling it a life. When what we really wanted was to feel a sense of purpose, make an impact and a leave a powerful legacy.

3 things to consider:

Make a pact with yourself:

One of my clients who is a cancer survivor said something to me this week that nailed it. Empowerment and courage are a daily choice. You don’t just reach a finish line one day and you are magically crowned as empowered and courageous. Yes, you develop them more, but you have to be dedicated to choosing it over and over again. A good affirmation that I like to use:  I choose courage. I choose boldness. I can and will handle the outcome of any decision I make.

(The idea here is to repeat this to yourself enough times that you believe it and it overrides your inner critic. I suggest saying it out loud at least 3x a day.)

Get deeply connected to what you will regret:

Regret is a self-inflicted emotional scar. It’s a result of not taking a action that your heart desired. What will you regret?

Look fear in the face and do it anyway:

I’m going to drop a uncomfortable truth bomb: You may feel like you did something productive by reading this email. But the truth is, the  “productivity” comes with what you do after reading this. Talking hypothetically about what you “will do” is just that…talk. I am calling you today to take an action today in the direction of something you want.

As you guys may remember me telling you, I am a part of a year long mastermind program right now to develop my business that is ABSOULTELY pushing my personal limits and comfort zone.

To catch you all up a little…in addition to coaching my 1-on-1 clients I am now putting a huge focus on putting on my own personal live events. Live events that will be transformative, fun and a whole lot of work on my part!

I will be starting them in Orlando( Get details and tickets here )with goals to have them all over the country by next year! It’s a very exciting time for me and I will hopefully see your beautiful face in the audience!

But whether you see me in person or hire me as your 1-on-1 coach know this:

I am here to coach you to your vision of your one precious life.

I won’t let you be lazy, I won’t let you organize yourself to stay comfortable, I won’t let you sit in indecision.

Carrying out your dreams is not a one-woman job. You don’t have to do it alone and I promise it will save you a whole lot of time and energy if you don’t.

Yours in truth and tenacity,

Jessica
